About Facial Paralysis Talks
Facial Paralysis Talks started as a podcast project which was conceptualized in 2019 and officially launched in 2020 on Podbean, Apple Podcasts and Facebook. A small group of volunteers from the international facial paralysis community came together to collaborate on a shared passion to build greater awareness and easier access to authoritative information.
This initial project, an interview with a facial therapist, was published in March, 2020. Later, we created the Facial Paralysis Talks Information Bot, which is an automated information assistant on Facebook Messenger. It was born from Ilan Livne’s bot created for his support group in Israel. Ilan is an amazing person who has made a difference in his country in how medical professionals approach facial paralysis.
To continue creating awareness, we currently post information from facial paralysis medical experts, non-profit organizations that deal with facial conditions, and fellow facial paralysis warriors, on our Facebook page. We would like to collaborate with medical professionals to help get authoritative information and peer support to a patient at the time of diagnosis, when it is most crucial to know more about facial paralysis and the best practices to positively affect outcomes. Want that to happen too? Connect with us.

Cristina's Facial Paralysis Story
My motivation for telling my story is to reach others who may be having a challenging time dealing with the unique things a person dealing with facial paralysis might experience. I have done a lot of research because I deal with long term residuals and partial recovery. This condition can cause a great deal of social isolation. I want you to know you’re not alone.
Facial paralysis onset began in early March, 2018…
